You can cook and serve dumplings, rice, fish, vegetables, and meat the traditional way, using the Home4U Bamboo Steamer. It has a 2-tier design, therefore you can cook multiple servings, to accommodate a group of people. You can place dumplings or fish on the one-tier, while you cook rice or vegetables on the other tier.
With a dome-shaped lid, that is made with an extra-tight weave, the perfect cooking temperature will be ensured, evenly throughout the baskets.
How To Use The Bamboo Steamer
If you have never used a bamboo steamer before, no need to worry. It is pretty easy to use.
- Take off the lid and line the bottom with parchment paper, cheese towel, salad leaves, banana leaves - depending on what you are steaming. If you are going to steam large food items, you do not need to line the steamer.
- Then you can place your food of choice on top and close the lid.
- Once you have placed in the food and closed the lid, you can place the closed basket in a pot or saucepan with approximately an inch of water - the basket has an extra heel on the bottom for this purpose. Now the pot only needs to be placed on the heated stove.
When cooking meat, fish, or vegetables, it is recommended to either coat the steam base with oil or cook the food on lettuce leaves.
Always make sure that there is enough water in the pot!
